Biography

Josiah was born to a poor family and grew up in the Reconstruction-era refugee camps of North America. A voracious reader, Josiah devoured any material he could get his hands on at the camps. Routine testing revealed his intelligence to government officials and he was given the opportunity to get a full education in exchange for military service. Josiah enlisted and was placed in the Sciences track, with the plan to send him to officer cadet school after his initial training was finished. The outbreak of hostilities in World War IV upset these plans, as a shortage of mecha pilots led to anyone who showed aptitude being reassigned to battloid or Veritech training.

Testing showed that Josiah had potential as a Veritech pilot, but his need to wear glasses kept him from becoming a fighter pilot. Instead Josiah was trained as a hovertank pilot and he finished training in time to participate in some of the final battles of the war. Josiah stayed in the Armored Corps and was involved in several battles with Bioroids early in the Second Robotech War. Later in the war he was reassigned to the 21st A.T.A.C. to help bolster that now-famous squadron's numbers.

Update: Josiah was killed in action in October 2030 during a battle with Bioroids.

Call Sign: Being something of nerd (and his military specialty being sciences) led to Josiah earning the name Sci-Guy (a play on the term sci-fi).
