Southern Cross Timeline - 2032

January

Early January, 2032	Forces from Oceanus and New Zealand begin sporadic salvage operations on mainland Australia. Crews suffer periodic attacks from roving nomadic bandit gangs that seem to have dominated the region.
January 16, 2032	On one of the salvage missions the 21st A.T.A.C. lays down a monument to their fallen comrades near the ruins of Dundee Base.

February

Mid-February, 2032	Forces from Oceanus and New Zealand drive the pirates off of Tasmania and establish a forward observation base on the island. The Oceanus-New Zealand undersea communications link is completed.
Late February, 2032	The Ulysses, with the 21st A.T.A.C. on board, begins a mission to discover the fate of the other remaining Southern Cross forces on Earth.

March

Mid-March, 2032	The Ulysses reaches the devastated city of Tokyo and makes contact with survivors sheltered in the Robotech Research Facility.
Late March, 2032	After helping to resupply and fortify the Robotech Research Facility, the Ulysses leaves Tokyo for the next stop on its global recon mission.

April

April 22, 2032	After a dangerous journey beneath the Arctic ice, the Ulysses arrives in the Atlantic Ocean in time to fend off an EBSIS naval assault on surviving UEG forces in Iceland.
Late April, 2032	After gathering intelligence and resupplying the Southern Cross forces at Reykjavik, the Ulysses departs for Scandinavia.

May

Early May, 2032	The 21st ATAC arrives in Stockholm where they are reunited with Major Krueger.
May 7, 2032	In Germany the 21st meet Copycat's sister, Anna.
May 11, 2032	The 21st ATAC, Krueger and Anna raid a hospital in New Berlin to get diagnostics needed to help Krueger.
Mid-May 2032	The 21st ATAC return to Stockholm. Anna joins the squadron.

June

Early June, 2032	The Ulysses reaches northern Africa, near Lagos, and begins gathering intelligence about the regional situation.
Mid-June, 2032	The 21st ATAC covertly infiltrates Lagos. O.L. is reunited with his parents and his old gang. With the gang's assistance, the 21st steals ten Veritech hovertanks from the local military strongman.

July

Early July, 2032	The Ulysses arrives at the southern tip of Argentina and makes contacts with surviving UEG forces at Santa Cruz Base. The 21st helps Santa Cruz repel an EBSIS air assault.
July 5, 2032	The Ulysses evades an EBSIS naval task force off the Argentinean coast.
Late July, 2032	The Ulysses arrives off the coast of Venezuela Quadrant.
July 29, 2032	Residents of a small village try to poison members of the 21st.
July 31, 2032	The 21st ATAC makes contact with Southern Cross forces at Orinoco Base.

August

Early August, 2032	The Ulysses departs South America and heads for North America in the final leg of the global recon mission.
Mid-August, 2032	The 21st ATAC join forces with a mecha squad from Quebec to battle rogue Zentraedi and an EBSIS mecha strike group.
August 20, 2032	The 21st ATAC reaches the ruins of Monument City.
August 21, 2032	The 21st ATAC joins forces with Dana Sterling's 15th ATAC to protect Tirolian refugees from vengeful Southern Cross soldiers.
August 22, 2032	REF Col. Jonathan Wolfe's task force arrives at Monument City. He defuses the confrontation between the hovertank squadrons and the soldiers.
Late August, 2032	Realizing the presence of the Flower of Life will attract the Invid to Earth, Col. Wolfe starts trying to organize Earth's scattered forces into a coherent defense. He offers to evacuate the immediate families of any UEG soldiers who agree to sign on with the REF defense effort; after some discussion the members of the 21st ATAC agree to take the offer.

September

September 7, 2032	Surviving members of the 403rd Home Guard hovertank squadron from Monument City are folded into the 21st ATAC.
Mid-September, 2032	Col. Wolfe establishes his primary strategic headquarters at the kappa site in South America. Point K will become the central rallying point for soldiers in the defense of Earth.
Late September, 2032	Intelligence indicating an EBSIS threat to New Zealand sends the Ulysses on an emergency trek back to the South Pacific; the 21st ATAC are on board.

October

Early October, 2032	Anti-submarine operations begin to try and locate the CVS Iapetus.
October 14, 2032	The Ulysses locates and sinks the Iapetus.
Late October, 2032	The 21st A.T.A.C. enjoy R & R in New Zealand. The Ulysses and the 21st A.T.A.C. depart on a mission to neutralize the EBSIS Himalayan mecha factory.

November

Early November, 2032	The 21st A.T.A.C. travel through the Indus valley wastelands to the Himalayas.
Mid-November, 2032	The 21st A.T.A.C. attack the EBSIS mecha factory. They escape after destroying the factory's power generators and flooding the facility. An avalanche traps the 21st in their mecha. Losing consciousness, the squadron awakens to find themselves in the legendary valley of Shangri-La.

December

Early December, 2032	After weeks with no contact, the 21st A.T.A.C. are believed to have been captured or killed on their mission to take out the mecha factory.
Mid-to-Late December, 2032	The REF begins evacuating key civilians to Space Station Liberty.
