The World of the Invid Invasion

The battles Second Robotech War were concentrated around major population centers of the United Earth Government, limiting the devastation (though not the casualty count). The Invid, however, were less discerning. The alien invaders struck hard against any areas that threatened resistance. Major surviving UEG centers like Mexico and Scandinavia Quadrants and the Far East Sector were prime targets, with those areas suffering devastating attacks. Surviving pockets of civilization scattered across North and South America, India and Oceania where the Flower of Life was more prevalent were not spared. These places were struck with more precision, but still with overwhelming force, crushing the desperate surviving United Earth Defense Forces protecting them.

Just prior to the Invid invasion in 2033 the Eastern Bloc Soviet Independent State (EBSIS) had been poised to become the dominant political and military power on the planet, but in a matter of days the Invid invaders reduced the entirety of that nation to wasteland. From Eastern Europe to the Pacific Ocean nothing was left standing.

The Invid moved quickly to secure their new conquest. Invid hives sprung up across the world, concentrated in regions where their precious Flower of Life had taken root and controlled from the massive central Hive complex of Reflex Point that straddled the Great Lakes in North America. The survivors of humanity emerged from the rubble to find themselves an occupied people, their planet under new ownership.
