Divergent Series - Justice League Continues

James Robinson used his final pre-Flashpoint/New 52 issue of the Justice League of America comic (issue #60) to provide summaries, in the form of retrospection at the disbanding of that incarnation of the Justice League, of the adventures he planned to do next. Had the New 52 reboot never happened and Robinson continued to write the book then these three arcs could be presumed to take up the next 15 or so issues, allowing Robinson to end his run at around issue #75 of the title.

The DC Heroes Rebirth universe does not have a New 52 reboot, so in this timeline these adventures did occur. These are the final stories of this incarnation of the Justice League; with the roster of Batman (Dick Grayson), Donna Troy, Jade, Jesse Quick, Supergirl, Congorilla, and Starman (Mikaal Tomas), with Cyborg serving as primary support. This version of the League would disband after this, with a new incarnation forming a short time after in order to deal with the DC Heroes Rebirth universe's version of the Throne of Atlantis storyline.

Justice League Continues

Justice League vs. the Construct

While helping to restore Red Tornado, Cyborg inadvertently brought the Construct back to life and it took over all the robots on Earth. The Justice League faced off against the Metal Men, the Red "Family" of androids (Red Tornado, Red Torpedo, Red Inferno, and Red Volcano), Bozo the Ironman, Gonzo the Mechanical Bastard, multiple versions of the G.I. Robot, the Golden Age Robotman's body, Cliff Steele's body, Amazo, the Duke of Oil, and numerous other robots. The battles included Congorilla facing off against Robo-Octo-Ape in Tokyo. The robotic attacks were revealed to be a distraction while Kelex, the Kryptonian robot in Superman's Fortress, was being used by the Construct to prime all the alien WMDs in the Fortress; until it was stopped by Supergirl and Jesse Quick.

The Saturn-Thanagar War

In the wake of the most recent defeat of Brainiac, a colony of telepaths from one of the tyrant's shrunken cities was given leave by Jemm to take up residence on Saturn's moon, Titan. They would prove essential to defending Saturn when an armada of Thanagarian Hawkmen invaded the ringed planet. Supergirl, Donna Troy, and Jesse Quick delayed the Thanagarian fleet while Congorilla and Starman dealt with a treacherous cabal in Jemm's own forces (including a Faceless Hunter). Under Batman's direction, Jade channeled the Starheart to amplify the colonists' telepathic abilities and they drove off the Thanagarian invaders.

The Battle for Gemworld

Mordru and the forces of Sorcerer's World invaded Gemworld to help a returned Dark Opal. Jade and Jesse Quick combined the Starheart with the Speed Force to drive back Mordru's forces; Batman solved the Labyrinth of Riddles set down by the Witch of Aldrain; Congorilla lead resistance forces, while riding a dragon into battle; and Starman dueled with Dark Opal to lead the Justice League and Gemworld to victory over Mordru and Dark Opal.

Adjourned

This incarnation of the Justice League chose to disband after several of their members had to leave. Jesse Quick revealed she was pregnant. Congorilla decided to go to Africa to help organize the relatively unknown heroes there, as well as to find a successor to his friend, the late Freedom Beast. Starman quit to return to Opal City and recover from injuries he sustained on Gemworld. Supergirl left to deal with the trauma from the recent destruction of New Krypton and loss of her parents. Donna Troy needed to refocus on her life, while Jade was still dealing with her recent resurrection; and the two decided to open a photography studio in San Francisco. Batman debated remaining to help onboard a new team, but in the end decided to quit as well, leaving the Watchtower empty to await the inevitable next incarnation of the Justice League.
