HISTORY
Jeremy Dark is a mystery, his background unknown to even his closest associates. It isn't even known if Jeremy Dark is his original name or if he took the name himself later in life. What is known is that Jeremy Dark is one of the 100 richest men on the planet, though his exact worth or rank is anyone's guess.
Dark got to where he is today by making business decisions that seemed insane, but in hindsight, were shown to be coldly and carefully calculated. As CEO of Dark World Enterprises, Jeremy Dark controls a large number of subsidiary companies, and he takes a personal interest in all of them. Dark runs his company with the same cold and calculating manner that has brought him success in the past. For Jeremy Dark, it is not about the money but about power and control.
Dark long ago mastered the subtle arts of manipulating and controlling others for his own benefit. He used these abilities to create Dark World Enterprises, which rapidly became a force to be reckoned with in the world of international finance. He sees other people simply as tools to be used to further his own ends and for Dark, control is power. Even the wealth he has accumulated through Dark World Enterprises is only important to him as a measure of the control it provides him.
Dark is always seeking ways of expanding his control, which usually means expanding his wealth. He will do this by any means available, even if it is illegal. When in engaging in plans to increase his holdings Dark will be careful to keep himself at arms length so as not to be implicated in any illegal activities. One of his known efforts was to hire the new Fearsome Five to disrupt the New York Stock Exchange in such a way as to allow Dark to manipulate stocks and increase his own wealth substantially. Despite the efforts of Justice Inc. the Fearsome Five succeeded in their mission and escaped and Dark's involvement was never discovered.
Jeremy Dark normally operates out of Superior City, where he can often be found at DWE Plaza, the central headquarters of Dark World Enterprises, referred to by city residents as the "Dark Tower". Dark is currently engaged in an effort to consolidate control over crime in one of the city's nastier neighborhoods before moving in with his corporation and "cleaning up" the area and tearing everything down to make way for a massive redevelopment operation.

Jeremy Dark is a normal human, but possesses such extraordinary abilities that at times he can appear to almost possess superhuman powers. His powers of persuasion and manipulation are strong enough to rival those who possess actual psychic mind control. In addition to his strong personality and charisma, Dark is an expert judge of character and has a strong knowledge of psychology that he puts to use in his efforts to manipulate others. He is also extremely intelligent and highly skilled in the arenas of business and international finance. Dark is also extremely strong willed, able to resist intimidation and mind control.
